VitalSense® Integrated Physiological Monitoring System
|
VitalSense® monitors can receive transmissions from multiple miniature, wireless sensors. Core temperature is sensed by the ingestible core body temperature capsule. Dermal temperatures are recorded from hypoallergenic, non-irritating, adhesive dermal patches. Both temperature sensor types are disposable, but designed for multi-day use under demanding physical and environmental conditions. In addition to temperature, heart rate and respiration rate are recorded from the XHR sensor. All sensors use low-power radio frequency transmissions to communicate with the Monitor.
Features of this innovative technology include:
|
|
- Temperature, heart rate and respiration rate measurements
- Disposable, telemetric sensors
- Accuracy in extreme conditions
- Accommodation of up to 10 sensors
- Flexible technical design
- Design for research, clinical, clincal trial and ambulatory applications

Use with Other Devices
VitalSense functionality can be supplemented through the use of our Actical device. Caloric expenditure is calculated from movement recorded by the Actical device worn on the waist. Data from this device is transcribed to a format that allows both sets of data to be synchronized for an integrated analysis.
